The company was established to support a new generation of independent Cambodian filmmakers and to provide a production structure for work that might otherwise struggle to find one.
Today, Anti-Archive produces and co-produces fiction and documentary films by Cambodian and international directors.
REASON
Its name is an invitation to question how cinema relates to time, between the past, present, and future: what is remembered, what is forgotten, what is history, and what is memory.
ALSO
Beyond production, Anti-Archive has initiated film festivals, publications, workshops, labs, and screening programs, including Kampung Film Festival, MARG1N, Karre Mouy, Chakto Short Film Scriptwriting Lab, and a weekly cine-club.2
Anti-Archive has expanded its reach with an office in Taiwan, where it collaborates with local filmmakers to develop and produce projects, led by Steve Chen and .
