Under the Khmer Rouge regime, we used to say that Cambodia was plunged into total darkness. Forty years after the fall of Phnom Penh, Séra Ing is working on the sculpture meant to be the first public memorial of the genocide. The project encounters difficulties and reveals the paradoxes of a society undergoing change.
